ABOUT

Double bassist Martin Rosso brings the double bass out of the shadows to display its extraordinary capabilities as a solo instrument. Together with harpist Annelies Boodts and pianist Dagmar Feyen, they take audiences on a melodic journey to resonance with a striking combination of instruments.

The double bass, an instrument with a deep warm voice, can sing and touch the public with beautiful tones and exquisite melodies and surprise them with stunning virtuoso passages. Creating a special atmosphere, BAS gains empathy with the audience offering a pathway to resonance, to an essence to connect with in a deep and personal way.

BAS performs an exquisite selection of works of the double bass repertoire from late classical to contemporary music, offering works of different styles and periods and contrasting characters. The concerts are out of the ordinary and surprising, full of emotive moments, different moods, and music that connects and resonates immediately with the audience.
